For Smoking - we recommend using non petroleum based starters. Residue in the smoke from these starters can contaminate the cooking box with the potential to effect the flavor of the meat. The use of a torch or paper and kindling is most effective. Use approximately 25-30 lbs. of charcoal in fire box to get started. Once meat is placed in smoker, you can add wood in fire box for smoking. You can continue to use wood or charcoal (your choice). Add wood or charcoal as needed to maintain temperature where you want it. Optional charcoal basket holds approximately 40 lbs. of charcoal briquettes and ensures efficient even temperatures.
For Grilling - remove bottom grate from smoker and slide in optional charcoal pan. Put in your desired amount of charcoal and slide top grate above charcoal pan.

We just received our new Meadow Creek TS250 Smoker, complete with the BBQ-42 Chicken Cooker. We also loaded the build with other options like insulated fire box’s for the smoker and cooker, lot’s of stainless steel, third grate and the live smoke. Picking up the unit at RSS Distributors was a breeze as the crew was efficient and pleasant to deal with. The unit came shrink wrapped from the factory and we decided to remove the protective wrapping at RSS so we could all have a look. The finished product put a smile on everyone’s face, not just mine. The quality, attention to detail and color/appearance scheme is off the charts. The marketing at Meadow Creek is first class and put me at ease when placing the order for such a substantial piece of equipment. After receiving the product we couldn’t be happier with the build and quality. We now have three Meadow Creek Smokers (BX50 Water Smoker Trailer – PR72G Pig Roaster Trailer) and from a marketing standpoint, we believe that keeping the same brand of equipment is important for projecting professionalism to clients that expect first class food, presentation and equipment from top to bottom. Thank you Meadow Creek Welding, RSS Distributors in Manheim and the marketing efforts of Lavern and Henry for making it all possible!

We love to BBQ, the last three years have mad our life’s so much easier using the T 250 smoker. We have a yearly Fourth of July family cookout, feeding roughly 125 family and friends. This unit has cut our cooking time down, and made it fun to cook so much meat. I love this unit, only change I might make is upgrade to the T 500!

I purchased the TS 250 with bbq 42, insulated firebox stainless steel shelving and stacks. My two big cooks every year are cooking for my fire department and my sons lacrosse team. I also do beef jerky in the warming box . I also smoke goose duck blue fish bass and venison for my clubs game dinner every year.

I have had a Meadow Creek TS250 P for a year. It is my third smoker & by far the best! It has an insulated stainless steel fire box & a stainless steel warming drawer. With three stainless steel racks & a stainless steel rib rack that holds 27 sides of ribs, I can smoke all the meat, ribs & salmon I want for my sons & their families, as well as for my bride of 55 years at one time. It is very efficient with the wood that is burned & hold temperatures extremely well. Everyone that sees it is very impressed with the quality of the workmanship of the smoker. The stainless steel shelves on both sides of the barrel make it very easy to place tools & my sprayers in close proximity to where they are needed and to remove the smoked food when it is ready. It is my third smoker, but also the last one I will ever need. The ash tray makes cleaning the ashes easy, and the removable racks much easier to clean. This smoker is a real WINNER!!!!
